Why Basket Weaving?

Basket weaving offers a unique combination of therapy, creativity, and income generation. The rhythmic and repetitive nature of weaving has proven calming effects on the mind, helping residents improve focus, motor coordination, and emotional stability.

Skill Development & Training

Under the guidance of trained instructors, our residents learn:

  • Creative design and finishing skills
  • Time and quality management in handicraft production
Livelihood & Empowerment

Completed baskets are sold through exhibitions, craft fairs, and partner outlets. The women earn a share of the proceeds, helping them:

  • Regain financial independence
  • Support their reintegration into society
  • Feel valued and productive
