Who We Serve

At St.Dymphna, we are dedicated to serving one of society’s most vulnerable and often overlooked populations: homeless women living with mental illness.

Many of the women who come to us have faced unimaginable challenges—poverty, trauma, abuse, isolation, addiction, and untreated mental health conditions. These experiences often lead to or worsen homelessness, creating a cycle that can be nearly impossible to break without support.

We serves

  • Women experiencing homelessness, often without access to basic needs such as food, safety, and shelter.
  • Living with mental health conditions, including depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.
  • Struggling with co-occurring issues, such as substance use, physical health problems, or past trauma.
  • Often without family or community support, navigating life alone and on the margins.
  • In need of a safe, stable, and healing environment where they can begin the journey toward recovery and independence.

We recognize that each woman who enters our doors brings her own story, pain, and strength. That’s why we provide person-centered care—offering compassion, dignity, and the clinical support needed to heal and rebuild a life.

At St.Dymphna, we are more than a shelter. We are a pathway to hope, stability, and long-term recovery.
